About these calculators
Insurance is the part of a money plan that protects everything else. Term insurance replaces your income for your family if you die; health insurance stops a hospital bill from wiping out your savings.
These calculators work out how much life cover your family would need and the tax you save on health insurance premiums. The guides explain why both matter, with worked examples.
Frequently asked questions
How much term insurance do I need?
Enough to replace your income for the years your family would depend on it, clear your loans and fund big goals, less your savings. That is often 10 to 15 times your yearly income. Try the term insurance calculator.
Is the health cover from my employer enough?
Rarely. It ends when you leave the job and is often small. Keep it, and buy your own policy as well. See why you need health insurance.
How much tax does health insurance save?
In the old regime you can deduct up to ₹25,000 for your family and up to ₹50,000 more for parents who are 60 or older. The new regime gives no deduction. See Section 80D.
